要約 | In this work, we aim to quantify acute stress induced by cognitive load using real-time physiological data collected by a wearable health-tracking device. In particular, we look at stress induced by increased cognitive load during a series of N-back tasks. Twelve participants completed an N-back task while wearing the Embrace PLUS device, which recorded electrodermal activity (EDA), heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, etc. A linear mixed-effects model revealed significant stress responses, with HR fluctuations as strong predictors. The findings support real-time stress monitoring and adaptive intervention strategies with the use of a werable physiological sensing device. |
